Offering a high voltage rating of up to 1500VDC, the MC4-EVO 2 connector from Multi-Contact enables longer cable strings to be used when linking solar fields. The PV connector reduces power losses to allow solar power operators to benefit from higher yields.

Offering a high current carrying capacity of up to 69A, the MC4-EVO 2 connector features a streamlined design that improves heat dissipation and is suited for cable cross-sections between 4 and 10mm2 (12-8AWG).

Operating over a temperature range from -40 to +85°C, the PV connector features a polyamide casing with improved impact resistance and enhanced sealing, as well as ammonia and salt spray resistance. Combined with IP65 and IP68 protection, this enables operation in harsh environments.

The MC4-EVO 2 offers good electrical performance thanks to MULTILAM, a proprietary contact system from Multi-Contact. MULTILAM technology uses torsion spring contact elements to produce multiple contact points and ensure high reliability and low contact resistance.

Approved for voltages up to 1500 (IEC, TUV) and 1000VDC (UL), the connector has received worldwide IEC, UL, cTUVus, JET and CSA certification. The connectors can be assembled on site using MC4 crimping tools or supplied with cables pre-assembled.
