Microsemi Participates in New Research Project to Reduce CO Emissions

Microsemi Corporation today announced its participation in a multi-disciplinary consortium tasked with developing innovative CMOS-compatible, high-temperature sensors that help reduce carbon emissions and drive energy consumption savings. The European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7ICT) is funding the majority of the SOI-HITS (Silicon on Insulator High Temperature Systems) project, which is slated for completion by the end of August 2014.

SolarWorld announces International Trade Commission ruling: Chinese imports are harming U.S. solar manufacturing industry

SolarWorld Industries America Inc. commended a key, unanimous U.S. trade determination issued today that Chinese imports of solar cells and panels into the United States have harmed American domestic solar manufacturers. The company said the resounding ruling confirms the position of a manufacturing coalition it leads that China’s systematic and state-sponsored unfair trade practices are anticompetitive.

Bentek Solar announces a 25 MW supply agreement with Signal Energy, a major UTS, design/build general contractor for the North American renewable energy industry.
