'World’s lowest power' BLE module for space-constrained applications

Atmel Corporation has announced the 'world’s lowest power' Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity modules for small form factor applications. The ultra-low power Atmel SmartConnect XR and ZR modules consume less than 4mA in RX and less than 3mA in TX with 3.6V, and below 1.2µA in sleep mode, increasing battery life by up to three times longer than other solutions on the market today.

8-bit MCUs feature 1kB Flash

At Embedded World 2016, Atmel announced the 'world’s highest performing', low power, 8-bit MCUs with 1kB Flash memory. The ATtiny102/104 MCUs runs up to 12MIPS and integrate features previously only available in larger more expensive MCUs, making them suitable for smaller applications including logic replacement and the latest cost-optimised applications in the consumer, industrial and home automation markets.

The world’s lowest power ARM Cortex-A5-based MPUs

A series of MPUs claimed to deliver the world’s lowest power consumption has been released by Atmel. The Atmel | SMART ARM Cortex-A5-based MPUs deliver sub 200µA in retention mode with context preserved, 30µs ultra-fast wake-up and a new backup mode with DDR in self-refresh at only 50µA.
