Hydrogen fuelled generator designed for urban environments
Driving the adoption of ultra-low emission hydrogen fuel in the UK, ULEMCo, has announced plans to launch a zero emission 50kW (KVA) generator later this year. The zero emission genset is targeted for use in urban areas, where the impact of harmful emissions from non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) is increasingly being understood.

First hydrogen fuel conversion for UK company completed
Specialists in ultra-low emission hydrogen-fuelled commercial vehicles in the UK, ULEMCo has just completed the first hydrogen fuel conversion for a UK commercial waste company. Oxfordshire-based Grundon Waste Management selected ULEMCo to carry out the hydrogen diesel dual-fuel conversion for one of its waste disposal trucks.

Collaboration for economical production of hydrogen fuel
In order to accelerate the commercialisation of hydrogen fuelled vehicles, both in Spain and the UK, ULEMCo has announced a collaboration with Spanish company H2B2. The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding that sees the firms enter a non-exclusive partnership to maximise the opportunity for the use and supply of hydrogen economically through scaled production.

Hydrogen fuel project promises ultra-clean air in China
A UK company has been selected to lead a collaborative project that promises to result in significant carbon reduction and ultra-low air quality emissions for thousands of vehicles in China within the next 10 years. Liverpool based ULEMCo has received grant funding via Innovate UK from the cross Government Newton Fund. The Fund uses science and innovation partnerships to promote the economic development and welfare of countries overseas.

Hydrogen dual-fuel bin lorries hit the roads in the UK
A company championing the use of ultra-low emission hydrogen fuelled vehicles, has delivered the world’s first hydrogen dual-fuel bin lorries to Fife Council in Scotland. The lorries are converted to run on dual hydrogen/diesel fuels, and will deliver reduced carbon emissions as well as improving air quality for the local community. The new bin lorries are planned for use in densely populated urban areas, where improving air quality is a huge concern.

First ever dual-fuel hydrogen-diesel conversion of refuse trucks

ULEMCo is on target to complete the dual fuel conversions of the Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) and associated vans, under the recently announced Levenmouth Community Energy Project. The RCV conversions, which are believed to be the first of their type in the world, will be used by Fife Council as key partners in the project, to perform normal refuse collection duties, and extend the practical use of hydrogen as an alternative transport fuel.
