PV Configurator 3.0 increases safety

The third generation of the Online PV Configurator has been presented by Renusol Europe. The new PV Configurator reportedly saves cost by precisely determining the components required for the operational safety of the system. This saves unnecessary parts and speeds up the installation. The design itself is also fast; claiming that an experienced user can design a project in only 90 seconds.

In terms of safety, Renusol uses extensive static analyses. For example, the implementation of wind tunnel tests enables the use of realistic wind loads and at the same time leads to more economical designs. The consideration of the Eurocode safety concept, with the possibility of setting the service life requirements and consequence classes, according to Renusol, also leads to technically and economically optimised results. Transparency is also important to Renusol, and every project report contains static information on all components.

PV Configurator 3.0 features:

  • Snow and wind load standards from 17 countries.
  • Nine languages.
  • Drawing function from Google Maps.
  • Simplest editing of module fields.
  • Detailed assembly plans that can easily be read on the construction site.

For years, the generation of electricity by photovoltaic systems has been increasing rapidly all over the world. This was achieved through permanent cost reductions for solar systems. Renusol has also contributed its share to this through numerous product innovations.

Managing Director Dr Alexander Kirsch, stated: "We have managed to increase safety levels and still reduce costs. Precise design is the key. That is our most recent contribution to the expansion of clean electricity generation with solar power.”
