Expanding its portfolio of snap-in power aluminium capacitors, Vishay Intertechnology has introduced 159 PUL-SI series devices with voltage ratings of 500V at +105 °C. Featuring a long useful life, high ripple current to 2.80A at +105 °C, and maximum ESR down to 150 mΩ at 100Hz, these capacitor are designed for solar PV inverters, industrial motor controls, and power supplies.

Available in a selection of case sizes ranging from 22x25mm to 35x60mm, the snap-in capacitors are suppplied in a cylindrical aluminium case with a pressure relief valve, insulated with a blue sleeve. Operating over a temperature range from -25 to +105°C, the 159 PUL-SI series offers a capacitance range of 56-1800µF, useful life of 3,000-5,000 hours, and maximum impedance at 10kHz of 130-1950mΩ.

The 159 PUL-SI series are polarised aluminium electrolytic capacitors with a non-solid electrolyte. Therefore they are suited for smoothing, filtering, and energy storage in pulsed power applications. The capacitors are also available in a keyed polarity snap-in version.
