NanoKTN Announces UK Energy Harvesting SIG Mission To Germany

NanoKTN is pleased to announce the start of the Energy Harvesting Special Interest Group Mission, which is taking a delegation of nine UK companies specialising in energy harvesting and self powered sensor systems to Germany. The EH SIG Mission, organised in partnership with the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN and Materials KTN, aims to raise awareness of UK Energy Harvesting technologies and help stimulate partnerships with potential international collaborators and customers. The mission will have a primary function of attending the annual ‘Energy Harvesting and Storage Europe 2013’ conference and exhibition in Berlin.

KTNs Urge Businesses To Apply For New Technology Strategy Board Funding

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Networkin collaboration with the ESP KTN and Materials KTN, is highlighting the commercial opportunities and market growth of energy harvesting applications. The announcement from the NanoKTN follows a new £1m funding initiative from the Technology Strategy Board, which opened on 8th October 2012.

NanoKTN Hosts Seminar Programme and Energy Harvesting Workshop

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network is pleased to announce details of a two-day seminar programme it is hosting at NANO Live, in partnership with JEMI and MANCEF, looking at the advances in MEMS and NANO Processes for Electronics, Industrial and Biomedical applications. The NanoKTN will also be hosting a workshop alongside the event, under the Energy Harvesting Special Interest Group, exploring the development of energy harvesting solutions in the UK and providing information on the £1M Technology Strategy Board call which opens on 8th October 2012.

The workshop, being organised in partnership with the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN and Materials KTN, will focus on micro and nanofabrication for energy harvesting applications which have been highlighted by the UK Government as an area of key importance for innovation and growth.
