Digital data acquisition cards acquire at up to 72 MBit/s rates
The M4i.77xx series of Digital Data Acquisition cards from Spectrum are aimed at test engineers who require high-speed digital data logging with multi-channel logic analysis over extended time periods. Based on Spectrum's proven M4i series PCI Express (PCIe) platform the cards are small and compact.
Arbitrary waveform generators run at 1.25GS/s
Two Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG's) have been unveiled by Spectrum. The models offer one or two channels each capable of outputting electronic signals at rates of up to 1.25GS/s with 16-bit vertical resolution. The combination makes these new AWG's ideal for generating high frequency signals up to 400MHz.
Waveform acquisition and replay moves up to GHz range
For applications requiring extended electronic waveform acquisition and generation, Spectrum has announced a new storage system that works with its PC-based digitiser and generator cards to dramatically increase possible recording and replay times. The new system can be used with any of Spectrum's M2i, M3i or M4i series of PCIe digitiser or waveform generator cards and delivers data storage sizes from 1 to 32 TB with full support for continu...
Pre-amplifiers boost signal levels
For applications where low-level electronic signals need to be acquired and analysed, Spectrum has added a range of pre-amplifiers that can be used to boost signal levels. When combined with a Spectrum digitiser these low noise pre-amplifiers can greatly increase the measurement systems overall dynamic range and sensitivity.
Pre-amplifiers extend digitisers dynamic range & sensitivity
For applications where low level electronic signals need to be acquired and analysed, Spectrum has added a range of pre-amplifiers that can be used to boost signal levels. When combined with a Spectrum digitiser, these low noise pre-amplifiers can greatly increase the measurement systems overall dynamic range and sensitivity.
Handbook explores digitiser concepts
To keep engineers and scientists up to date with the latest developments in PC based digitiser technology, Spectrum has published a handbook that covers the major product features of this powerful class of instrument and also explains when a digitiser can replace an oscilloscope. The 120 page booklet is printed in full colour and includes a number of graphical images that highlight and explain key digitiser concepts and their application.
Arbitrary waveform generators output signals at 625Ms/s
Three new M4i series Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG's) have been announced by Spectrum. The new models of the M4i.66xx series offer one, two and four channels with each channel capable of outputting electronic signals at rates of up to 625 Megasamples/second (MS/s) with 16 bit vertical resolution.
I/O cards help speed data logger design
Time to market is the sine qua non for the electronics market – get there before the competition. It is one of the reasons Rapita Systems chose Spectrum I/O cards to create its new RTBx real time, high-speed digital data logger. Dr Guillem Bernat, Chief Executive Officer of Rapita Systems was also attracted by the Spectrum M2i.7000 cards flexibility.
Nine new models extend digitiser range
Spectrum has extended the performance of its PCIe based instruments by adding nine new models to its M4i series of digitisers. These cards can capture and analyse fast electronic signals in the DC to 1 GHz frequency range and boast real-time sampling rates up to 5 GS/s and high bandwidth making it possible for them to measure signals, edges and pulses down into the sub nanosecond realm.
Peak detection added to digitiser cards
Using hardware-based data analysis and reduction technology, Spectrum has created new firmware options that allow its high-speed M4i series digitiser cards to perform peak detection and output the corresponding statistical data. The M4i series cards offer real-time sampling rates of up to 500 MS/s with 14 bit resolution and 250 MS/s with 16 bit resolution.
Digitiser cards get FPGA-based signal averaging capabilites
Spectrum has created new firmware packages that allow its high-speed M4i series digitiser cards to perform on-board signal averaging by using the latest FPGA technology. The M4i.44xx series cards offer real-time sampling rates of up to 500 MS/s with 14 bit resolution and 250 MS/s with 16 bit resolution.
Mid-speed 16-bit digitisers cover PCI, PCI Express
Spectrum GmbH has released two new models of its mid-speed 16 bit digitiser line. The new versions M2i.4960 and M2i.4961 are available for PCI/PCI-X and PCI Express and offer two or four synchronous channels with 60 MS/s sampling speed and a bandwidth of 30 MHz. Each channel can be individually switched between single-ended and true differential input mode.
Digitisers sample signals at 50MS/s and 250MS/s
Spectrum has expanded its range of digitizerNETBOX products by adding nine new models. Featuring state-of-the-art ADC technology the new units are capable of sampling signals at rates of up to 500 MS/s with 14 bit resolution and 250 MS/s with 16 bit resolution. Controlling and accessing the data collected by the digitizerNETBOX is done by simply connecting it via GBit Ethernet to a host computer (e.g. laptop or workstation) or anywhere on the cor...
Digitiser platform improves data acquisition speeds
Spectrum has released its first product based on the new, ultra-fast, modular M4i platform. The platform is designed to meet the growing need for increased streaming bandwidth and higher sampling rates and is up to 16 times faster than previous models.
